MYOFASICAL CUPPING
Cupping is a therapy that has been practiced for centuries in many cultures around the world. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. In myofasical cupping, the cups are moved gently up and down the targeted area to decompress the muscles and fascia, working to relieve tension and knots, and break up restrictions from scar tissue. The suction encourages blood flow while according to Eastern medicine perspective, also draw out pathogens, excess heat and stagnant wind which is the cause of pain.

Both Cupping and Gua Sha are not at all painful, though often leave red marks on the body especially in areas around the shoulder blades and down the back. These marks are an indication that there has been inflammation, stagnation, and/or fascial restrictions in those areas. The marks fade within a few hours or a fews days, and are usually completely gone within a week.
