GUA SHA (SCRAPING)
Practiced throughout Asia, this technique employs a tool with round soft edge to gently and repetitively rub a targeted area of the body, bringing up excess heat and pathogens. Gua Sha is a kind of detox, that helps release tension and iron out fascial adhesions. it is also said to have immune boosting and anti inflammatory effects.

Both Cupping and Gua Sha are not at all painful, though often leave red marks on the body especially in areas around the shoulder blades and down the back. These marks are an indication that there has been inflammation, stagnation, and/or fascial restrictions in those areas. The marks fade within a few hours or a fews days, and are usually completely gone within a week.
